HAI MEMBER – YAY ME!

I just wanted to say about becoming a member of HAI and thanks for the help in getting me started. Loving the wordpress set up. My website uses WP and so the Gallery system is old hat now to me so felt a lot better. I’d love to find out from other HAI members what the experience of HAI is like on and any feedback on my work. I’ve created 3 Galleries as my work is quite diverse so maybe its easier that way. Anyway bye for now and I’ll post some new stuff soon.

Doodles for the sketchbookproject

At this moment in time…

…I’m waiting for my sketchbookproject to arrive from the States. My theme given to me is “from up here”. I’m going to love doing this as many sheets of paper float around my house with doodles on and this is a chance to put all those into an exhibition touring the USA. (more…)

Bedtime sketch transformed to vector illustration

Bed time Monsters
Working through my self promotional work I seem to have a lot of sketches and illustrations tucked away on note paper and scraps. This one has been developed and is currently being edited into a children’s book about what shadows are made from at night time.
My life revolves around illustrating and childrens books (I tend to doodle all the time and if you leave any sort of paper lying around then a doodle will soon appear on it) so you will see a lot more illustrations to come through. At present I am just working on a childrens book about 3 dogs and a fire in a house…keep looking and dont forget to check out my portfolio link for the gallery of images.Chat soon.

Monster Nightmares

Self Promotional work being added to the galleries. Some are just sketches at the moment, but will be developed into full colour vector illustrations shortly.

Keep looking out for them.

My First Post

Just want to say a big thank you to Andy who has spent ages working on this website, getting the little details to how I could imagine them to be and putting up with my rants about the image sizes being all wrong.

Monkey Moo

Monkey Moo is a character design for self promotional purposes which went onto become a character in a lift-flap book. He’s a seasoned traveler, visiting Italy for the Bologna Book Fair and Portugal for the Exhibit Illustrarte in Lisbon, Portugal.

Monkey Moo travels by land in order to avoid issues at International Airports with his true identity and the fact that he has no fingers to successfully hold his boarding pass.

Pig in odd socks

A new picture book that I have written and illustrated.
Yes you’re looking at the Pig in Odd Socks right now on this post……but for the full story and more images you’ll have to be a bit more patient as its staying under wraps.

All I ask is that you keep coming and visiting the site for more updates on the progress of Pig in Odd Socks.
